Jim was the first one who took me seriously. For fourteen years he stood in the back as my back-up — five years of full training, plus nine years of ministry coaching. When he retired in 2024, he passed the baton well — that gesture itself is me2us2WE’s deepest “passing the baton” witness.

Timeline

2010
Jim brought me into North Point Ministries’ global(x) program. The real starting point of this work.
2010–2015
Five years of training at North Point · global(x) (locally), and provide online ministry coaching for many years afterward.
2015–2024
After global(x), Jim continued as my ministry coach for nine more years. Not a classroom — life-to-life companionship. He held the back; I walked forward.
2024
Jim officially retired. He passed the baton well — the gesture of handoff itself is me2us2WE’s deepest “passing the baton” witness. Fourteen years of companionship, concluded in the posture of a relay handoff.
2026 · 5/8
The day before the ministry debrief (May 8), a full interview is planned with Jim — capturing the road we walked these fourteen years, and how he stood in the back as my back-up, so this can become nourishment for the next generation.

How He Walked With Me

Jim never walked in front of me. He was always in the back — praying, asking, saying what needed to be said, holding back what didn’t. When I fell, he did not rush in to lift me up; he crouched down and waited for me to stand on my own. When I moved forward, he did not step in to lead; he stepped back, and let the Lord lead.
